Equol is produced when isoflavones are biologically converted by intestinal microorganisms. It is known to be more beneficial to women’s hormone-related diseases than isoflavones, which are high in soybeans and crops. Even if isoflavones are consumed as food, more than half of healthy adults cannot produce Equol.
