Tanbest 8810 is a combination of DHA and L-Erythrulose, providing a synergistic enhancement to the self tan market
Sunless tanning is a method of self-tanning that does not involve exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
Any tan achieved by the sun or by a tanning bed can cause skin damage and UV rays are the 1st risk factor for all types of skin cancer.
A sunless tan (or self-tanner) creates the same bronzed glow as a natural tan, can be applied in skin & hair products through cream, lotion, spray, shampoo and conditioner from.
- DHA, also named dihydroxy-2-propanone, is a simple three carbon sugar which is derived from plant sources such as sugar beets and sugar cane by the fermentation of glycerin.
- DHA is used as an ingredient in self-tanning cosmetic products on the EU market since the 1960’s
- Erythrulose reacts with free primary or second amino groups of keratin in the corneum of the epidermis.
- This conversion of reducing sugar with amino acids, peptides or proteins, similar to the “Maillard reaction”.
- The skin tone is comparable to the appearance of a natural sun tan.
- The coloring reaction of erythrulose with skin is slow and gentle, which makes it possible to produce a natural, long-lasting, even tan without stripes
